Why Blog?

Why a blog in the age of social media? Because neither Facebook nor twitter let me do what I wanted to do. I want more space than a status update or 140 characters to talk about current events, be they political or personal. I am political. I have opinions (sometimes just an opinion is viewed as a strong one, whether or not it is.) I have photos of my family. I have urges to write frustrations about injustices I see in the world around me or about trends, followings, popular ideas that seem off base to me. Sometimes I like to make lists.

Think of this as my online version of the zines I made in the 90s (if you knew me then.) An eclectic gathering of things buzzing and bouncing around my head.
